About Us

Donna Bright Howard is a masters level Counselor and a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the state of Michigan.  She specializes in relationship problems, family crisis, self-worth issues, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, phase of life problems and career issues.  Donna works with couples, families and individuals.  She is a University of Michigan alumnus and received her Master's degree in Counseling from Oakland University.  Donna is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Michigan Counseling Association.  In addition to providing individual, couples and family counseling, Donna offers self-improvement groups on several topics including parenting support, rebuilding after divorce, exploring individual relationships with food and exploring the complex needs and challenges of today's woman.
 

Sonja Francese earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University.  Sonja’s work with young adults and adolescents is a consistent area in which she pursues. She has extensive experience with youth in transition and provides support through psychoeducational groups, individual counseling, career exploration, and personal growth. Various experiences in the counseling field support Sonja’s eclectic approach to counseling. She has worked with the homeless population; assisting with transitions, crisis, and housing concerns. An internship included providing individual and vocational supportive counseling to address behaviors, interventions, and goals achievement with individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or spinal cord injuries.  Sonja is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) licensed through the state of Michigan.
 

Diana Garner-Conklin is a masters level Counselor and a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the state of Michigan.  She specializes in adolescent behaviors and issues, grief and loss, suicide survivor guilt and loss, anxiety, depression, divorce and relationship building.  She is willing and able to work with people of all ages but her expertise and passion is working with children and adolescents.  She is a Grand Valley State University alumnus and received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Psychology.  She has her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.  In addition to having her LLPC, Diana is a member of the Macomb County Counseling Association, L'Anse Creuse Community Action Coalition, Macomb County Prevention Coalition, Macomb County Suicide Prevention Coalition, and the Macomb County LOSS Group.  In addition to providing individual, couples, and family counseling, Diana offers support groups on several topics including children of divorce, empowerment for young women, study skills and school life, grief and loss, eating disorders, and self-injury.
 

Deb Wheeler is a Masters level Counselor and a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed by the state of Michigan.  She is also licensed as a School Guidance Counselor and is certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator.  Deb works with individuals of all ages and has extensive experience in working with children and adolescents.  She specializes in relationship strengthening, self esteem issues, grief and loss, depression and anxiety management, divorce recovery, organization and study skill development, anger management, poverty and homelessness issues, and career exploration and development.  She is genuine in her approach to counseling as she assists people individually, as a family, or in a group setting.  She has received her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Psychology from Rochester College.  Deb is involved with various Macomb and St. Clair County youth planning coalitions and committees, as well as a member of the American Counseling Association, National Association of Workforce Development Professionals, Michigan Occupational Special Populations Association, Southeast Michigan Career Development Facilitator’s Association, Chi Sigma Iota National Honor Society, and PSI CHI National Honor Society in Psychology.
