Divorce Recovery - Begins Wednesday, May 12 at 6:30 pm - 8 weeks

Move from mourning the loss to thriving in your new life after divorce.  This group will explore normalizing the transition, letting go, evaluating self-worth, opening lines of communications with friends and family, accepting your new identity and creating a new social support system.

Career Exploration - Begins Wednesday, May 12 at 12 noon - 8 weeks

Are you coping with job loss or looking to make a meaningful change?  Been out of the job market for awhile?  This group is designed to support participants throughout the career exploration and search process.  Facilitators will share tips on seeking employment, networking, resume building and interviewing, as well as help participants explore their values, interests and motivated skills.

Parenting Support - Begins Thursday, May 13 at 12 noon - 8 weeks

A support group for parents of all ages, raising children in all stages of development.  Parents raising children today face many challenges.  Come share and learn with other parents concerned about raising healthy children!  Topics covered include: understanding yourself and your child, communication styles, problem solving, building healthy relationships, consequences vs. punishment.

Food for Thought - Begins Monday, May 17 at 12 noon - 8 weeks

Our relationship with food is instrumental in our lives.  Is eating something you do to maintain a healthy lifestyle, or is food the way you comfort yourself or deal with stress?  Come explore your individual relationship with food and learn to be more mindful in this important relation.  Meditation included.

WOW!  The Wonder of Women - Begins Monday, June 21 at 6:30 pm - 8 weeks

A group for women, lead by women.  This group addresses the complex needs and challenges women face today.  This group will explore a wide array of issues, depending on the needs of the participants.  Topics may include: trying to balance career and family, relationships, health concerns, changing friendships throughout the lifespan, stress, caring for aging parents, living life more fully.

Children of Divorce

Children who join this group have parents who are separated, divorced, or remarried.  This group will provide opportunities for self-awareness, sharing with others, problem solving, and better communication skills within their families.

Girl Power

This group will focus on the need to empower young women from age 10 and up.  It will address issues such as self-esteem, self-concept, goal setting, and body image and cultural influences.

STAR (Students Taking Academic Responsibility)

This group will give your child the opportunity to learn what their type of learning style is and how to use this to help them succeed in school.  This group will also include activities on goal setting, study-skill tips, organization, motivation, and communication skills.

Grief and Loss

This group will provide a support system for those that have experienced the death of a loved one.  It will address issues such as stages of grief, unresolved conflicts, feelings of abandonment, anger, and guilt.  It will provide an environment of acceptance, concern, and caring.

Adolescent Anger Management

This group provides a safe, supportive environment for adolescents to learn appropriate expressions of anger.  Group participants will learn what triggers this emotion and will learn strategies for managing their anger including self-talk, personal time-outs, problem solving and relaxation techniques.
